Family Counselling Clinic

The aim is to provide professional counselling and support for children, young people and families in various life situations. The services are available for families with children, who are residents of Seinäjoki and Isokyrö.

• your are worried about your child’s development or behaviour
• you want to discuss educational matters
• your child has problems in day care or at school
• there are problems in your family life or in your relationship
• when you consider divorce in your family

At the family clinic, solutions to concerns are sought together with the family. The staff consists of psychologists and social workers specialised in upbringing and family counselling. When needed, also medical services are available.

The service forms include:

• telephone counselling
• examinations on children and young people as well as individual and group therapies
• couple therapy for families with children
• family counselling, family therapy
• conciliation in family matters

The services are confidential and free of charge.

Steissi Youth Station

We want to offer young people a place where it is easy to come. You can come alone, with a friend or your family, even anonymously. We provide conversational therapy, counselling and guidance to young people aged 13-25 years. The services are free of charge, voluntary and strictly confidential. Come to meet us if you are worried about:
• your own life or the situation of your family or friends
• the future or life management
• matters related to alcohol, medicine, drugs, or mental health
Also parents can obtain counselling and support.

The Department of Youth Affairs of the city of Seinäjoki offers young people under the age of 29 different kinds of services and activities. Young people have an opportunity to participate in action at Youth centres, JIBBO services, different kinds of clubs, skateboard hall, trips, camps, events and during summertime at the game parks. Seinäjoki has a lot to offer for young people! The Department of Youth Affairs also supports youth organisations and groups financially.

You can come as a customer to Crisis Center Mobile when ever you feel that your own survival strategies are not enough. You define your crisis and we help you to process it, by yourself, with your family or your friend. We are here for you! The help is free of charge for the customer.
We have a telephone service, short-term therapeutic individual/ couple/ family conversation help, a safety home, help for the victims of crime, group meetings and help trough the internet.
