Food Supervision
The aim of food supervision is to secure the adequate quality of foodstuffs and their security to consumers. Supervision is focused on the preparation, transport, conservation, export, import, sale, service and other transfer of foodstuffs, as well as on their marketing.
Food supervision by the Seinäjoki Intermunicipal Federation for Health Care aims at linking food supervision from the field to the table in a safe and healthy manner. Through their inspections, the food inspectors supervise the observance of foodstuffs regulations. The aim is to promote the functioning of self-supervision through counselling and guidance.
In food inspections, a supervision programme of is observed, and supervision is implemented on the basis of risk assessment.
